Learn to Lead with Miss-Hits

Picture
At our Learn to Lead launch we showcased the activities with the P7 pupils leading the Miss-Hits activities for the p1-4 children. We purposely chose to deliver the content in the car park to show that schools don’t need a tennis court to get involved.
Learn to Lead has two goals.
1. To give P6/7 girls the opportunity to develop leadership skills by showing them how to plan, set up and present simple, fun starter tennis activities to p1-4 girls through lunchtime or after school clubs
2. To introduce more young girls to tennis in whatever space is available within the school environment.

Our plan is to visit primary schools across Scotland and we would support participating schools with the following resources:
  • Equipment bag
  • Link to all video content for each of the 7 Miss-Hits characters
  • Teacher workshop
  • School visit by one of the Learn to Lead team

Our only stipulations are :
  • there is a teacher keen and willing to be the lead within the school and to supervise the lunchtime or after school clubs.
  • the school is close to a tennis club, park or centre so that the girls (players and young leaders) have an accessible exit route into the sport should they wish to progress.

Dunblane sports Club - Fun day of Learn to Lead

Over 70 P2/3 girls joined us at Dunblane Sports Club for a fantastic FUN day, organised and delivered by 22 of our amazing P6/P7 girls from Dunblane and Newton Primary Schools.
As part of Judy Murray's Learn to Lead programme, the P6/P7 girls planned the event, set up and organised their activity stations, practised their leadership skills, and then confidently led the sessions for the younger girls.

ABERDEEN - Celebration of 1st Anniversary of
